We are seeking multiple Analysis Engineers due to a period of growth to join our busy analysis team based in Hartlepool. The focus of this role is product analysis which may typically include performance of structural, fatigue, thermal, dynamic and stress analyses of umbilicals, cables and associated hardware. This will be done to in-house and industry standard guidelines and will include the production of associated reports, calculations and procedures.

Reporting to the Senior Analysis Engineer, there will also be the opportunity to be involved in the development of analysis methods, software and design tools and their implementation within the Engineering Department.

Your main duties will be:

Undertake analysis of cable or umbilical products for specific projects to ensure designs are fit for purpose. The work involves close liaison with lead and senior analysis engineers within the team. In the early stages of a project this is often to define the scope of work, and in the final stages to present findings.

Generate reports, analyses, instructions, procedures, specifications, calculations etc. associated with the umbilical and cable products to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

Manage self, often to challenging timescales, to endeavour to meet project schedules for on time delivery, with a core focus on quality and integrity.

Develop analysis methodologies and support their implementation within the department to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team and of the business.

Contribute and participate in the maintenance, improvement, development and implementation of company quality, design and management procedures and systems as necessary,

Assist develop, monitor and control design rules, procedures, specifications and relevant documentation and software associated with analysis of the umbilical and cable product to ensure traceability and consistency of methodology and continuous improvement.

Analyse and comment on customer requirements and specifications to permit timely execution of analysis and design work to minimise inefficiency through rework and prevent downstream process delays.

Ability to specify clearly data and requirements to support any sub contracted workscopes to meet client delivery and / or to support tendering team queries for manufacturing or FEED opportunities.

With previous experience of Finite Element Analysis, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally with Chartered Engineer status. Previous experience in umbilical, cable, flexible or rigid pipeline design, installation engineering/analysis would be advantageous. As well as experience of FEA software packages such as Orcaflex, Comsol, Ansys and Abaqus.

As Analysis Engineer you will have an aptitude with mathematical software and problem solving. You will be a strong team player, with the ability to successfully multi-task, confidently manage your own workload and competing demands on your time. With strong communication skills, you will have proven experience of writing reports in English.
