Catering Manager – Extra Care Facility – Hartlepool
Predominantly Monday to Friday, 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday per month

We are recruiting for a Catering Manager for an extra care community which consists of over 200 self contained properties with over 300 residents.
The Catering Manager is responsible for the management of the Catering team which delivers meals to residents, which also houses a Coffee Shop and Restaurant and a home meal delivery service. Their restaurant offers a multi choice, varied menu, which is nutritionally well balanced and created, wherever possible, with locally sourced produce thereby contributing to the sustainability of the wider community.
To provide overarching management of the Catering functions in a residential community, including Coffee Shop, Restaurant, special functions, staff functions and home delivered meals.
To deliver a cost effective, high quality and nutritionally balanced meal service to residents, staff and visitors.
To drive and maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, liaising with Environmental Health inspectors and providing assurance on performance for senior management.
To monitor and manage budgets carefully while continually striving for service and cost improvement to ensure best all round value for money.
Applications from a similar background are preferred, but strong multi-outlet contract catering managerial experience will also be considered.
