Education World are working in partnership with a Secondary School in Hartlepool who are seeking a Cover Supervisor on a long-term basis. You will be covering across school where required, in KS3 & KS4.
This role is Monday-Friday 08:30 – 15:15 offering £80 – £90 per day, with an immediate start.
What does the role consist of?
As an Unqualified Teacher/Cover Supervisor, you will be required to support across a range of subjects, providing relief for absent teachers. The role as a Cover Supervisor is very centred around behaviour management and you will be responsible for keeping students on task and ensuring they complete the work left by the subject specialist teacher. There may be occasions you will be asked to support as a teaching assistant, working alongside the class teacher with smaller groups or 1:1.

As a successful Cover Supervisor you will posses:
Be qualified to degree level (desirable)
Basic understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum
Knowledge of child development and learning
Strong communication skills
Ability to cover a wide range of lessons
Confidence to manage a class of mixed ability pupils
Strong behaviour management skills
DBS on the update service or willing to undertake a new check
