What you will do
Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenanceContinuously maintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensure safe working procedures are followedProvide first line technical expertise and knowledge to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtimeSuggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems through collaboratively working with relevant peersPossess a high quality of work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and are robust enough to prevent recurrence
This position will operate on shift pattern working 12 hour Days and Nights, 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.
What you will need
We want to speak to people that can bring a problem solving approach to their work. Youll have completed an electrical apprenticeship, or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar). The successful candidate will ideally have a background in heavy engineering manufacturing, as well as possessing excellent interpersonal skills.

Industrial/domestic wiringOverhead Cranes & associated safety systemsPLC’s in the main Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMI’sExpertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurationsVariable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devicesInterpret electrical drawingsAwareness of Safety related control systems
Salary: £42,238 basic (Inclusive of shift allowance) rising to £46,395 upon demonstration of site specific competencies + quarterly bonus35 days holidays per annumAnnual Pay ReviewQuarterly Bonus Scheme subject to business performancePrivate Healthcare Scheme (Individual cover)Pension schemes (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution)
