Your new role:A superb opportunity has arisen for an ACA or ACCA qualified Financial Accountant to join a superb business in Teesside. This role will deliver financial and compliance-based accounting services to internal customers to a high level os service whilst always seeking to minimise the cost of service provision and to add value to the business by sound tax and VAT management.Duties and responsibilities:
- Financial accounting and compliance.
- Sarbanes Oxley controls compliance.
- Ensuring Internal and external reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Ensuring local and US GAAP compliance requirements meet the regulatory standards.
- Coordination of all external audit activity, for the relevant legal entities for both US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls, specifically manage, and monitor the annual assessment and testing processes regarding internal controls and documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including the relevant site accountants, external fiscal authorities (tax/VAT), such that the overall business processes are streamlined.
You will be/have
- Qualified ACA or ACCA.
- 3 years post qualification experience.
- Strong technical accounting experience and compliance background with exposure to multiple GAAP compliance – IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP.
- Strong IT skills – Excel and SAP experience.
