A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant/part-qualified Management Accountant to join an excellent and esteemed manufacturing business based in Hartlepool. Reporting to the UK Commercial and Operations Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be an integral member of the team and will gain fantastic manufacturing experience as well as study support, a genuine opportunity to progress and develop within a business with a great culture and an innovative team. 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsibility during month-end process for accruals / prepayments and review of resulting profit / loss account and balance sheet positions,

Month end sales reporting and analysis,

Responsibility for month end reporting data

Responsibility for accurate month end, forecast and budget reporting into Group systems

Assist with month-end variance analysis to budget and forecast,

Daily product costing process

Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations for key General Ledger accounts,

Responsible for preparation and distribution of monthly KPIs,

Update and maintain process notes,

Assist with annual budget setting process,

Ensure that accounting standards are adhered to,

Assistance to wider teams in carrying out annual stock count, asset audit and annual cost standard setting processes,

Ensuring JSOX compliance within areas of responsibility,

Other ad hoc duties where required. Support across Finance department

You will be/have:

Analytical thinking and problem solving with the ability to see root cause

Investigative and influencing skills to dig deeper into a problem

Relationship management, to build a sustainable relationship with stakeholders

Highly IT literate with strong Microsoft Excel Skills and ERP systems

Working towards tight deadlines

Relevant degree would be an advantage

Experience in a manufacturing company is preferred.
