Ofsted Registered Manager – Protective Care Group – Hartlepool

Protective Care Group

About us

The Protective Care Group offers bespoke, tailor-made support services to the families of children or young adults with severe and complex needs.  We specialise in providing a level of support that local authorities are often unable to.  Our teams of Support Workers and Field Leadership Team make a real difference to somebody’s quality of life and future prospects.

We care deeply about the services we provide but we’re also very ambitious and growing quickly across the UK.  We’ve doubled in size in the last year and will do again by the end of 2024. As there’s such strong demand for our services, our continued growth means we can offer you a genuine chance to grow your career with us.

Ofsted Registered Manager

We’re currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ofsted Registered Manager, or talented people with experience at Deputy Manager or Senior Lead Supervisor who are ready to step up.  You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our organisation exceeds the regulatory standards set by Ofsted, but there’s much more to it than that, such as:

  • Ensuring that the Children’s Home provision meets with required inspection standards under Ofsted and is aligned to all Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • To ensure positive outcomes are achieved through the delivery of high-quality support.
  • Work alongside the CQC Manager, Field Leadership, Training and Compliance Teams to monitor and plan residential services, and to work on Improvement Plans and overall strategic direction.
  • To manage and co-ordinate operational needs and be responsible for ensuring health and safety guidance, policies and procedures are followed by all staff at all times.
  • Ensure that all young people have comprehensive, up-to-date, Person Centred Plans.
  • To facilitate a safe, homely, welcoming environment for young people and to ensure that privacy, dignity and respect are an integral part of our service offered to the young people.

Lead up to 2 teams which will include:

  • Playing an active part in the recruitment process.
  • Onboarding and inducting new team members.
  • Carrying out supervision, 1-2-1s and appraisals.
  • Ensuring teams are supported, motivated, skilled, knowledgeable and happy.
  • Manage finances and resources with the teams.

You’ll ideally have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare or Health and Social Care.  Plus you’ll have a clear understanding of what’s required for the manual and physical side of the care we provide.
