We are currently recruiting for one of the leading UK Companies who provide Functional assessments for people claiming the ESA (Employment Support Allowance) benefit. This company offers hybrid working with competitive pay and great benefits.

The Functional Assessor role involves utilising and enhancing your clinical skills and experience as well as offering a public service and supporting individuals’ claims for disability benefits allowance by assessing their functional abilities.

This position is a combination of home and office working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week (09.00 – 17.00). Part time training and hours are also available.

*Job Responsibilities as a Functional Assessor:*

· Carrying out telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life and work-related activities.

· Produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.

· Attend on site to the assessment centres as well as working from home.

· Undergo a 12-week training programme to learn the skills needed to become a functional assessor by experienced clinicals.

· Use IT software programmes to support clinical decision making when undertaking file-work and examinations.

· Working towards defined targets within a clear and structured framework and within a team environment with strong leadership.

*What we are looking for:*

· Registered Medical Doctor with a valid GMC.

· Minimum 12 months post registration broad medical experience and have completed FY1 and FY2.

· IT Competent, with good typing skills.

· Eligibility to live and work in the UK (no sponsorship opportunities are available).

· Have a proven record of relevant Continual Professional Development (CPD).
