Our client is looking for a Skills and Development Coach – Workplace and Facilities Management to develop learners to become competent and skilled individuals within their chosen sector. Through training, mentoring, coaching, assessment and verification of knowledge and performance. Ensuring successful achievement, sustainability, or progression within the applicable sector. SPECIFIC DUTIES: * To ensure the Individual Learning Plan (ILP) is completed, updated and maintained for all candidates in liaison with curriculum staff and employers * To deliver training. Ensure timely completion of qualifications, develop portfolios, and support the embedding of Functional Skills. To ensure compliance with the standardised learner journey * Support learners to achieve the required level of Functional Skills * To act as advocate in resolving problems between learners and employers as appropriate and keep employers updated on learner progress * To carry out regular learner reviews as required and update learner files to reflect achievements, distance travelled, including the updating of tracking sheets. Through the review process, set and monitor training targets that effectively link on and off the job training * To develop training materials which will enable the candidate to generate evidence against requirements and develop knowledge and skills * To carry out assessments of candidates in the workplace in accordance with Awarding Body requirements, travelling as required by use of own vehicle or other appropriate and approved methods. * Provide information, advice and guidance (IAG) to learners and line managers * Manage, monitor and administer all e-Learning systems used to facilitate the learning journey * To keep accurate records of learner progress and achievement, which are regularly shared with the relevant employer * To keep accurate records of learner attendance which are regularly shared with the relevant employer * To carry out reviews of candidate’s progress and achievement within an agreed timescale which are regularly shared with the relevant employer. * To attend internal team and other meetings as required * Undertake and record regular CPD activities as per your personal development plan * To ensure the quality of the assessment process by working with Internal Verifiers and attending regular standardisation meetings * Working collaboratively with colleagues to share and standardise practice according to quality benchmarks and meet performance targets agreed with line manager * Develop, plan and implement curriculum delivery models, SOW and resources and follow company best practice * To participate in the course review and evaluation process * To stretch and challenge learners. GENERAL DUTIES: * Actively promote and market our client and present a positive image of the company. * Ensure the quality standards and performance measures are met and facilitate continuous improvements in all aspects of the post * Undergo any self-development and training as necessary for success in the role * Carry out any duties at all times in accordance with our clients policies including Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety Policies * Incorporate into the role the mission vision, values and behaviour stated in the Mission and Strategic Plans * Promote a positive approach to security and discipline. Undertake any other responsibilities that senior management representative may from time to time require. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Education and qualifications * Hold GSCEs or equivalent to Functional Skills Level 2 English and Maths * A teaching qualification (Cert Ed/Diploma) or commitment to achieve this within a specified time period * Sector qualification(s) relevant to this area of work (or a minimum Level 4 qualification relevant to this area of work) * Relevant Professional Recognition (e.g. MRICS, MIWFM, QTLS etc.) as applicable or commitment to achieve this within a specific time period * Teaching and assessing qualifications (CAVA, TAQA, D32,33,34, A/V qualifications) or commitment to achieve these within a specific time period * Hold their IQA qualification or commitment to achieve this within a specific time period Experience At least 5 years of working within the relevant sector, with experience and demonstratable knowledge of Operational, Tactical and Strategical delivery of both Hard and Soft services Knowledge of Budgets and Finance, Leadership, Quality, Projects, H&S and SRM. Competencies and Qualities (Desirable/Essential) Essential: Driver with clean driving license Familiarity with current practises within subject sectors Good organisation, administrative and financial abilities, with relevant IT skills including a working knowledge of the following software packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher An enthusiasm for all aspects of 16+ education and a commitment to the well-being of students Sound interpersonal and communication skills Desirable: The ability to work with requirements of awarding bodies Awareness of current developments in awards and qualifications including Government levy schemes Knowledge of functional skills An understanding of the needs of the Employers within the sector Coaching skills Ability to create E-resources
